Guided Winter Hike

Winter is a wonderful time to hike in the Adirondacks. If you’ve been thinking about expanding your hiking trips to the winter season this clinic is for you. Your guide will discuss the types of clothing and equipment typically used on a winter hike and answer questions about what to bring and how to pack. The group will then travel to a nearby trailhead to begin a moderate hike. Along the way your guide will continue to share tips for layering appropriately to stay comfortable, when to use Micro-spikes or snowshoes, and offer some guidance on pacing, when to take breaks, plus nutrition and hydration. There will be plenty of opportunities for group discussions, and the day is meant to be fun and informative.
