Special and Urgent Needs Fund for The Adirondacks

The Mountaineer is proud to deploy charitable funds to worthy causes locally and throughout the North Country. So many of our customers and brand partners have played a role in this cycle over many years through their involvement in Mountainfest, Backcountry Skifest, and our Great Adirondack Trail Weekend.

Particularly in this time of critical need, it is our pleasure to support long-time friends and partners at the Adirondack Foundation with a $2,500 donation to their Special and Urgent Needs (SUN) Fund.

The SUN Fund provides a way for community members to financially support vulnerable populations impacted by COVID-19-related closures and other cascading fallouts. Grant funding will focus on critical areas of need: access to food, child care services, support for low-wage workers and the elderly, and support for nonprofits and small businesses involved in response efforts.
