Advanced Clinic - Steep, Thin, & Mixed Climbing with Matt Horner & Chad Kennedy presented by Mountain Equipment
(6 participants $215 per person): 8:30AM-4PM meet at Mountainfest Vendor Village
As climbers seek out new routes in challenging conditions, the lines of what is considered rock or ice climbing begin to blur. No longer limited by cold hands and feet on stone, and no longer constrained by the notion that the pick of an ice tool or point of a crampon need to be placed in frozen water. Modern climbers adapt technique based on what lays ahead. Join locals Matt Horner and Chad Kennedy for a clinic that’s sure to open eyes on some intricate, fun, and challenging climbing. Guides will choose an appropriate cliff for this clinic based on current conditions and participants who already have the skills and fitness to top-rope intermediate to steep ice will get the most out of this session.
Matt Horner is a local Mountain Equipment brand ambassador. Each clinic participant in Friday’s Advanced Clinic will receive a free pair of Mountain Equipment Hard Mixed gloves to use during the clinic and on their future climbs!
